Hospitality Consulting

Plan and implement the changes your hotel needs.
A new concept, service or operating process needs a clear purpose, realistic assumptions, defined responsibilities and a workable plan.

We help owners and managers turn decisions into practical projects, from developing the solution to supporting its introduction.

Areas of support

Concepts and positioning
Target guests, room product, facilities, services and the competitive position of a new or existing property.
The work may involve reviewing a concept, developing a revised offer or preparing commercial and operational requirements. Architectural and engineering design are not included unless separately arranged.

Organisation and responsibilities
Management structure, departmental responsibilities, coordination, approvals and follow-through.
Outputs can include an organisational structure, defined roles and a practical management routine.
Processes and standards
Procedures that the team can use, with clear ownership, handovers and checks. Where required, we support their application.

Business planning and budgets
Business models, operating budgets, financial models and the economics of selected services, based on defined data and assumptions.
The scope follows the decisions the project needs to support. Rooms revenue budgets and commercial plans are also available separately through Revenue Management.

Preparing changes for launch
A sequence of actions, responsibilities and milestones, including selected pre-opening tasks, team preparation and coordination with suppliers or specialists where needed.

Two levels of involvement

Develop the solution
We prepare the concept, model, structure, procedures or implementation plan and hand it over, with an explanation and clarification within the project scope.
Support implementation
We also participate in working meetings, help the team apply the solution, review progress and refine materials where needed.
This does not automatically transfer operational authority to us.

How the project begins

An initial audit establishes the situation and the work required. We use relevant findings from earlier assessments and define any additional review.
Before starting, we establish:
  • The question or change to address.
  • Deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Required information and participation.
  • The person responsible for decisions and approvals.
  • Stages, timing and limits of our involvement.
New requests are assessed separately, with changes to scope and timing agreed before additional work starts.
What you receive
A defined result that can be reviewed and used: for example, a concept, operating budget, organisational structure, procedures or implementation plan.
The project agreement records the deliverables and what constitutes completion. It is not an open-ended commitment to discuss every issue that arises in the hotel.
