Hotel Management

A clear management structure for your hotel.
Running a hotel requires coordinated decisions across the team, operations, sales, service and financial planning.

We consider assignments for selected hotels and aparthotels, assessing the property, resources and working relationship before deciding which responsibilities we can take on.

Possible areas of responsibility

Operations and service
Daily work, departmental coordination, operating standards and follow-through on service issues.

Responsibilities must match authority

When to consider management support
  • You need an operator to take responsibility for defined areas of the business.
  • You want to step back from operations while retaining oversight.
  • The property needs a more structured approach to accountability.
  • You are considering a change in the operating arrangement.
  • Difficulties may require direct management involvement.
The appropriate model depends on the property and the owner's objectives.
Before taking on an assignment, we agree:
  • Which decisions we make and which require owner approval.
  • Who employs, appoints and supervises the team.
  • How operations and changes will be funded.
  • Spending limits and approval procedures.
  • The owner's information and reporting arrangements.
  • The roles of accountants, legal advisers and technical specialists.
  • Takeover and eventual handover arrangements.
Limits on our authority and access to resources must be reflected in our responsibilities.

How we assess a property

  • Following an introductory conversation, an initial audit establishes what would be required to take on management. A visit and its associated costs are agreed where direct observation is necessary.
We then determine whether the assignment is suitable, which functions can transfer and what resources are needed.
Completing an audit does not commit either party to a management agreement.

Individually agreed arrangements

Location, condition, scale, staffing, funding and owner involvement all affect the model.
An assignment may cover part of the operation or a broader management role. On-site presence and remote support follow the needs of the work.
This service is for professionally operated accommodation businesses, not the letting or household management of individual privately owned apartments.
All initial audits are paid services. Scope and fees are agreed before work begins.

We sign a mutual NDA before work begins or confidential information is shared, protecting your business information and our non-public methods, tools and working materials.
