Online Sales Audit

Could errors in your online sales be costing you bookings and revenue?
Unnecessary discounts can reduce the amount you receive per booking. Incorrect room information, restrictive booking conditions or availability errors can make it harder for guests to find and book the right offer.

We check whether these issues exist in your hotel's online sales, how they relate to booking patterns and competitive position, and what needs attention.

What we review

Property and room information
Location and map placement, descriptions, facilities, photographs, room categories, occupancy and bed configurations.
We check accuracy and consistency across your channels and your website.

Rates and booking conditions
Rate plans, meal options, payment and cancellation terms, restrictions, availability, promotions and overlapping discounts.
We examine how these settings work together and whether they reflect the intended offer.
Your competitive position
We build a relevant competitor group based on location, property type, room product, facilities and target guests, rather than simply adopting a platform-generated list.
Prices are compared on equivalent dates and conditions. We also examine ratings and recurring themes in guest reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses in the offer and its online reputation.

Booking patterns
We review the available records for the previous 12 months, including booking windows, cancellations, occupancy and channel performance.
This provides context for current settings. Where records are incomplete, we explain the limits of the findings.

Channels and findings

Which channels are included?
We agree the relevant channels before work begins. These may include Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Agoda and Ostrovok, depending on where the property sells.
Your website is reviewed for consistency of information, booking conditions and the route to making a reservation. A full technical or SEO audit is outside this service.
What you receive
  • A concise assessment of what is working well and what needs attention.
  • Specific findings supported by screenshots, examples or available data.
  • A relevant competitor group and a comparison of your online offer and reputation.
  • An explanation of how identified issues may affect visibility, bookings or revenue.
  • Prioritised recommendations: what to correct, what to clarify and what can remain unchanged.
The audit does not assume that the current setup is wrong. We distinguish confirmed effects from potential risks rather than projecting an unsupported revenue increase.

How the audit works

1. An introductory conversation
We discuss the property and define the channels, information and scope of the review.

2. Information and access
Following the mutual NDA, we request the agreed reports and access. Viewing access, exports or shared-screen sessions may be used, depending on the systems.
We do not change settings during the audit.
3. Review and discussion
We examine the channels and data, then discuss findings that need context from your team.

4. Findings and next steps
We deliver the report and walk through the recommendations. Your team can implement them, or you can discuss separate support with us.
The audit includes three discussions — introductory, review and final — and two rounds of clarification within the defined scope.

Scope and boundaries

Implementation, ongoing revenue management, corporate and tour operator contract reviews, and reconstruction of missing records are not automatically included.
If broader work is warranted, we explain why and agree any additional scope separately.
All initial audits are paid services. Scope and fees are agreed before work begins.

We sign a mutual NDA before work begins or confidential information is shared, protecting your business information and our non-public methods, tools and working materials.
